Description

Spacious, connected holiday home (65 m², ground floor, wheelchair access), situated in a fabulous restored Portuguese stately farmhouse ('Quinta'), which is divided in 4 holiday homes. One is inhabited by the very friendly owners who will welcome you with a stocked fridge for the first day. The other holiday homes are available for rent. The Quinta has a communal swimming pool (8 x 4 x 1.6 m), a large garden, various terraces and a barbecue and is situated at the feet of the Monchique mountains, at only 10 km from the sea. The cottage can be rented together with the Papoula and Jacaranda homes for a maximum of 13 persons. All cottages are tastefully decorated and finished. The high wooden ceilings and wide stone walls provide pleasant coolness in summer and cosy warmth in winter. All the cottages are child friendly, there is for example a work/recreation space where children can paint original tiles with the owners and on request you may use a cot and pram. This is a perfect holiday address for relaxation at only 15 minutes drive from the sea, the beach, golf courses, vineyards and all the basic facilities like shops, banks, pharmacy, etc. Places like Alvor (7 km), Portimão on the Arade river (10 km) and Praia da Rocha are nearby. You can go on beautiful walks directly from the cottage or make a car trip along the orchards and vineyards. Monte Canelas is situated in the historical Mexilhoeria Grande, a village at 5 km of the house with a number of shops and a lively market.
