The Algarve offers lots of activities, among them various watersports, hiking in the hinterland, and visiting the typical small villages where you can still see the fishermen with their boats, catching fresh fish for the many restaurants and bars along the coast. Visiting the Monchique mountainrange is a must, as well as Sagres, the most south-western point of continental Europa. You can even go to the Spanish border and visit the nice village of Tavira.
