Your holiday villa (165 m2), built in 2007, is located on the outskirts of the pleasant village Sao Cosmado, Mangualde where the authentic culture is still very much alive. The holiday home has a particular tranquil location at the end of the village, without through traffic. It is an excellent starting base for walks, with its great location near the beautiful walking area Serra de Estrela. From the terrace and the roofed veranda you will have a lovely view. There are swimming opportunities galore; both in nature in the various lakes and rivers, but also in the quiet indoor- or outdoor swimming pool in Mangualde. At only 3 km distance you will find the cosy town Mangualde, with its many restaurants and shops. Viseu (18 km) is a pretty old city with many attractions. Coimbra, Porto and Aveiro (sea and beach at ca. 1 hour's drive) are ideal for excursions and day trips. In Alcafache you can enjoy the Thermal baths, massages and mud baths. Golf enthusiasts will find what they need on the Montebelo golf course in Viseu. In short: there is enough to see and to do in the immediate proximity.
