Description

Authentic granite cottage (50m2), fully restored with a snug emanation, close to the splendid hiking area Serra de Estrela in the north of Portugal. It is situated along the edge of the lovely old village Canedo do Mato, without through traffic, and surrounded by many woods and field. From the roof terrace, you have a unique view over the dale of the river Dão. Within only 2km distance, is the pleasant town Mangualde, with many little restaurants and shops. Viseu (18km.) is a beautiful town with many places of interest. Coimbra, Porto (145km.) and Aveiro (sea and beach) are beautiful day trips, which can be made easily from the cottage. The Serra de Estrela is a rugged chain of mountains with unripe nature, where endless hiking trips can be made. You can swim between the nature in diverse lakes and rivers, but even in the peaceful indoor and outdoor pool in Mangualde. In short, in the direct surrounding there is enough to see and do!
