Casa Oasis is a villa (180 m2) with private swimming pool, located in Salir do Porto, near the well known resort São Martinho do Porto. In a separate part of the villa there is an apartment, where the Dutch speaking caretaker/concierge lives. The villa is perfectly suited for a carefree holiday on the west coast of Portugal, only 95 km north of Lisbon, the magnificent capital of the country. The villa is located in rural surroundings at 500 metres of the bay of São Martinho do Porto and 12 km of the Obidos laguna, extremely suited for beach and aquatic fun. Salir do Porto is within walking distance and is a small almost authentic quiet coastal village on the other side of the bay of São Martinho do Porto. There are huge sand dunes along the bay (30 m high) and a wide sandy beach ending in shallow water, perfect for children ! Salir with its many walking paths through the hills towards the ocean is a paradise for walkers and mountain bikers. You can find absolute silence here. The large garden of the villa is perfect for relaxing under the shadow of the willow or the olive trees. Attractions in the region are for example Alcobaça (20 km), this town houses the largest religious building of Portugal, Batalha (25 km) with an imposing monastery complex dating from 1345 and Coimbra (100 km), the famous university town. The old university has one of the best conserved libraries in the world. Fátima (50 km) is the pilgrimage town of Portugal and Obidos (20 km) is a 'must' for any tourist with its picturesque alleys and old city walls. In Porto de Mos (27 km) you will find the most impressive caves of Portugal which form a magnificent and huge backdrop (6000 m²) with underground lakes and fabulous stone walls. Other villages and towns you should not miss are Tomar, Mafra, Sintra and Nazaré (12 km), an old fishing village with great beaches. Boas ferias em Portugal!
