Description
Distinctive apartment in an authentic medieval castle in Giarole (Piedmont region), surrounded by an eighteenth century estate. This good-sized apartment measures 140 m2 and is located on a mezzanine in the north wing, with independent access from the tower. The original chapel can still be seen in the castle grounds (weddings can be arranged here), as well as the stables and the old ice-house. The original reception hall, main hall and ball room have all been painstakingly restored in the neo-Gothic style. When not in use, these rooms may be visited during your pleasurable stay.
The castle may also be used as a base for visiting the Piedmont region, an area of great wine and food traditions, brimming with history and artistic treasures. A one and a half hour car ride will find you in Genoa, Turin or Milan.
A stay in this enchanting castle will be a magical experience with a wealth of things to do and discover in the local area. Who knows, perhaps you will find a hidden passageway or bump into the ghost of the painter who died here while painting frescos on the ceilings in the 19th century.
NB: The castle plays host to several weddings and events during the year. At these times, given that the weddings in particular are held in rooms close to the apartments, guests may encounter noise until late in the evening.
The house owner lives in the same house where the apartment is situated
