The holiday apartment is located on the second floor of a historic building and is furnished in a very simple yet practical way. It is particularly suitable for those wishing to visit the interesting surrounding area.
Apart from being a small, pleasant and peaceful art town, with an attractive old quarter, Farnese is reasonably close to many destinations such as: Lake Bolsena (15 minutes by car), Saturnia Spa (30 mins), Sorano Spa (20 mins) and the beaches at Montalto di Castro (35 mins) Capalbio and Argentario (45 mins).
If you miss the hub of the city, Rome is just 1.5 hour away (a comfortable bus ride from Farnese). The area is full of good quality, traditional restaurants and many are cheaper than those in Tuscany. Every town boasts great restaurants in which to enjoy a long meal, getting to know the locals in a very hospitable atmosphere.
A piece of trivia: Due to its particular architecture and distinctive alleys, Farnese was chosen by director Luigi Comencini for the film "The Adventures of Pinocchio" (taken from the famous tale by Collodi).
