Description
The Rectory (120 m˛) is located in the small village of Szakácsi, situated in the centre of the Cserehát, a region on the Slovakian border. It reminds of the Dordogne. The village has 150 inhabitants, a shop, two churches and a restaurant and is surrounded by forest and fields.
There is a 1000 m˛ garden behind the rectory. There are also a veranda and a terrace of 20 m˛ with the house.
You can langlauf from the house (80 days snow a year), but there are no winter sports facilities.
You can ice skate on the fishing pond (2 km) and on the dam lake (25 km).

- Miskolc (extensive cultural programme and thermal bath) 30 minutes by car
- Aggteleki National Park (most extensive stalactite caves in Europe) 40 km
- Dam lake (swimming, not touristy) 25 km
- Tokay (wine region) 50 km
- Slovakia 30 km (ski regions in Slovakia at 100 km)
- Bio model farm with tourist programme, 1 km
- Watercolour lessons with a Dutch painter, in the village itself
- You can use bicycles for free but they need to be booked per day with the manager
- The price includes a welcome package, a meal in a restaurant / catering the 1st Sunday after arrival.
Ground floor: 1 sitting room (TV (cable), closed hearth, DVD player, Internet connection), 1 kitchen (microwave, dishwasher), 2x bedroom (2 x single bed), 1 bathroom (bath, shower, sink), 1 WC, 1 utility room (tumble dryer, washing machine).
General: jacuzzi, heating, terrace (roofed), garden, garden furniture, BBQ, bicycle(s) available, cot (on request), high chair (on request), playpen (on request).
