Description

Mawr Cottage is a newly converted barn on a very remoted farmstead in the Cambrian Mountains near Newbridge-on-Wye and Builth Wells. This is a wonderful place to walk in real wilderness, to mountain bike or to ride - you are almost guaranteed to hardly meet a soul - with miles and miles of wild Mid Wales countryside. There is a seperate very large shower/wet room and toilet beside the laundry room - ideal if you have been riding mountainbikes all day. The fabulous Elan Valley with its many picturesque large reservoirs and scenic drives is only a few miles away. The closest pub is The Red Lion 3 miles. The Royal Welsh Showground, Builth Wells and Llandrindod Wells are 20 minutes drive away.
