Description
Coachingmans' Cottage is a surprisingly spacious and delightful traditional stone built terraced cottage dating from 1750 and was where the coachmen used to live when the Stage Coaches used to journey from London to West Wales and the boats for Ireland. The cottage is just a few doors away from the Castle Coaching Inn, now the excellent village pub and restaurant in the small hamlet of Trecastle. There is excellent walking from the village, with the ancient remains of a castle, an excellent antique centre farm shop and tea rooms. There is easy access down to the more westerly parts of the National Park and the Geo Park.
Trecastle is 14 miles from Becon and 12 miles from Llandovery.
