Description
The gîte is on the Château Neureux Country Estate in the Auvergne. It is a detached holiday home and beside Neureux Castle. The holiday home is full of character and charm.
It has been completely renovated and is equipped with all modern appliances. All natural and traditional elements have been carefully preserved. Neureux Castle is the oldest building in the village of Lurcy. It is packed with history. The castle was completely rebuilt in the 17th century. It was taken over by the King of France in the 18th century as a residence for his officers. It is a very special place to stay. The country estate consists of 50 hectares of woods and meadows and a lake of more than 3.5 hectares. The open space and the natural beauty of the surrounding area are something to savour and enjoy. The village of Lurcy Lévis is within walking distance of the gîte. It is around 2 km away. The village has a baker, supermarkets and restaurants. The superb Forêt de Tronçais National Park is perfect for walks and cycle rides.
