Description
A beautiful countryhouse, completely renovated in 2005 (100 m2), situated next to the benedictine abbey of St-Michel, edified in the 7th century and counted as one of the last cloistral beacons from the medieval. Presently, international famous baroque concerts are given. The central towers of the countryhouse accomodates a stairway, which leads to the top floors. The interior is spacious and comfortable. Next to viewing the musuem in St-Michel (countrylife and abbey), you can visit the water sports centre "l'Ile verte" in Hirson (2km), try out the sports base of operations at the Cascade de Blangy (kayak, mountainbiking, wall climbing, archery; 4 km), discover the town Chimay in Belgium (10 km), or look around in the fortified church of Jeantes with modern artworks of Charles Eyck (16 km)... Highly recommended!
