Casa Estrella is a detached holiday villa (200m2), built on two levels with the main house on the lower level and the private swimming pool and a self contained cottage on the upper level. The cottage can be rented together with the house to accommodate 8 persons. All rooms have excellent views as does the swimming pool. The villa is set in a mature garden, which includes various citrus and fruit trees as well as many traditional Spanish shrubs (Oleander, Hibiscus, Bougainvillea, Dama De Noche etc). Casa Estrella is situated in La Celima, a wooded unspoilt area just outside Casares village in Southern Spain, near Estepona. It commands magnificent views in all directions. To the South is a stunning view down the valley to the sea, Gibraltar and Morocco beyond. To the North and West are mountain views of the Sierra Crestellina and Sierra Bermeja, whilst to the East is the Mediterranean and Estepona. It is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes from Málaga airport, 50 minutes from Gibraltar airport and 1 hour and 30 minutes from Jerez airport. Casares was settled by the Romans and is one of Spain?s famous white villages, perched high on a cliff in the hills above the coast. This is a rural part of Spain with rugged hills and mountains and large areas of unspoilt national park. You will find two of the finest restaurants in the region five minutes drive from Casa Estrella (The Forge and Arroyo Hondo). There are numerous local wineries as well, both in Casares itself and the surrounding countryside. Other attractions are the local Roman baths, day trips to Ronda, Ubrique (home of the leather industry), Jimena De La Frontera and Tarifa and of course the Mediterranean coast which is a mere 10 minute drive from the house. There are several new golf courses under construction close by including The Casares Golf and Country Club, Sotogrande; famous for its numerous golf courses, including Valderrama; polo; tennis; sailing etc is less than half an hour down the coast.
