Rustic cave house (100 m˛) situated in the chasm of the Júcar River, in the Albacete region. Completely restored with its original character preserved, such as the feeding troughs and the niches in the stones. Traditional materials such as clay, wood and rock masses have been used extensively. There is also a bath (the so-called hamman) which has been carved out of the rock. It is a spacious cavern house of two floors and with three large bedrooms. There is an terrace with permanent barbecue. Additional elements of this house are: car park, oppportunity to use the children?s swimming pool, public telephone (upon request with a pre-paid telephone card). Gorgeous views. Pleasant location only 36 km from Albacete and great for visiting Madrid, Valencia, Alicante or Murcia. Situated in peace and quiet in a fascinating and beautiful place at the foot of the town of Cubas on the Júcar River, where walking, fishing and relaxing are just a few of the possibilities available to you. Jorquera is 9 km away and Alcalá del Júcar 20 km away, towns which are worth a visit for their architecture, traditions and the wonderful cuisine of Castilla-La Mancha. It is of course ideal for nature lovers due to the rich wildlife and vegetation of the area. As the cavern house is in a narrow chasm, a microclimate is always present, with pleasant temperatures in the winter. You?ll find fig cacti and pomegranate, laurel (bay), khaki, and orange trees, as well as other native tree species.
