Description

The village Hohnstein lies approximately 40 km. south-east of Dresden in the beautiful Elbsandstein mountain range in the Saxony Schweiz. It is particularly known for the nice market square which lies at the base of an ancient fortress. The region is also distinctive geologically because the border between the Lausitzer granite and the Elbstein mountain range sand stone runs precisely under Hohnstein. The Haus Barbara is situated in the village section Ulbersdorf which lies 5 km. fro m Hohstein and directly at the national park 'Sächsische Schweiz'. The house lies on a 750 m² large, well kept parcel and offers accommodation to a cosy home with its own entrance (through outside stairs) on the first floor. The house also has a large terrace with garden furniture. The hiking- and biking courses run directly along the house and take you along several castles and fortresses in the area. Also the Czech Republic lies at only 6 km. distance and is therefore certainly worth visiting. Discover this splendid region!
